The committee originally budgeted $23500.00.  However the Somalia hospital ward projectdid not eventuate, but other worthwhile projects did emerge throughout the year, gaining committee approval and support from the Rotary Club board.

I believe that this year has been a very successful one by contribution to needy projects, and I thank everyone for their contributions.

It was a privileged to go to Chiang Mai, to attend the official handover of the water tanks 100x2000 litres, 5x2000 lt per school and make a presentation of a certificate to the Director of Schools there. Also to travel with Rotary Club of Chang Mai Rotarians to the villages in the mountains and see the installations and meet hills tribe people.

Visiting the Rotary Club of Jurong Town in Singapore, representing our club and reaffirming the sister ship from previous Rotary Club of Stirling, was also an honour and privilege. The members are looking forward to reciprocal visits and possible joint projects.

Other proposed projects gaining our attention are still ongoing and will not be able to proceed until next Rotary year, 2010/11 include:

Ngao farm irrigation system, Northern Thailand. Joint discussions with the Rotary Club of Happy Valley Hong Kong. D3450. Rotary Club of Jurong Town Singapore, D3310. Rotary Club of Chiang Mai, D3360. and Rotary Club of Scarborough. D9455. Coordinator Philomena Lau. (Lay Preacher) in Lampang and founding member Rotary Club of Happy Valley. Negotiations continuing. I did have the opportunity to view the farm and hostels for the 300 children in that province.

Sian White. Deaf children's school project in Udaipur-India request will probably be forthcoming
        later, in 2010/11 year.
