ASSOCIATES
1. The Rotary Club of Scarborough has resolved to establish the Associates of the Rotary Club of Scarborough to provide for:
- potential Rotary Club members who want to trial membership for a period of time;
- potential Rotary Club members who feel they cannot commit themselves to all the responsibilities of membership at this time; and who want to support the Club's service projects but who do not wish to be members of the Club at this time.
2. Associates of the Rotary Club of Scarborough will:
- be invited, by the Board of Directors after consultation with the members of the Club, to become an Associate for a twelve month renewable term;
- contribute an annual donation of $50;
- be welcome to attend any meeting of the Rotary Club of Scarborough as a paying guest, provided they advise in advance of their intention to attend;
- attend at least six Rotary meetings each year, of which two should be committee meetings and participate in an annual recognition function for Associates and Friends of Rotary;
- undertake to participate in nominated Rotary projects or undertake to assist with Swapmart at least three times each year;
- be invited to Rotary Club of Scarborough fund-raising and social functions;
- receive the Club Bulletin; and
- be provided with a distinctive Associates name badge.
3. Associates of the Rotary Club of Scarborough may, at any time, be invited by the Board of Directors to become a member of the Rotary Club of Scarborough. The normal nomination procedure will then be followed.
